ABOUT US

  • Wretched Flowers is the design studio of Loney Abrams and Johnny Stanish. They design lighting, accessories, and furniture for residential and commercial spaces. Clients and collaborators include MoMA PS1, Rhizome, Gladstone Gallery, Anicka Yi Studio, Clever / Architectural Digest, among many others.

Initiated in 2020 as a sustainable floristry studio, Wretched Flowers created sculptural bouquets using foraged local plants. By consciously harvesting invasive versus native plants, Wretched Flowers facilitated ecological restoration on a small but meaningful scale.

The need for custom vases for their arrangements led them to make their own, and they're since expanded their offering of home accessories to include lighting, mirrors, and other objects. Wretched Flowers currently works primarily with architects and interior designers to create bespoke objects for residential and commercial spaces.

Abrams and Stanish, who are married, began collaborating in 2012 while receiving their MFAs from Pratt Institute. In 2012 they co-founded Hotel Art Pavilion, an experimental exhibition platform and gallery space. Abrams and Stanish currently teach at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
